The Imogene Ski Traverse
5 Days of Ski Touring – 4 nights at RMAL & Hayden Lodges
New for the 2024 season we are pleased to be offering Ski & Stay Packages with our guiding partners – San Juan Mountain Guides! The Imogene Ski Traverse features 5 days of guided backcountry touring with an IFMGA or AMGA Certified Guide, untracked powder skiing/riding, and 2 nights each at both the RMAL and Hayden Backcountry Lodges! This also includes your meals – full American breakfast, trail lunch (at RMAL only), aprés soup appetizer, and dinner – all part of the standard nightly inclusions at RMAL and Hayden Lodges.
The Imogene Ski Traverse (IST) offers participants the ability to experience a hut-to-hut excursion while combining the best aspects of the terrain surrounding each lodge. The trip begins in Silverton with a tour up to Prospect Ridge and a ski down to RMAL. Day 2 offers a number of touring objectives including Red 3/2 combos among other worth options. On Day 3 the group will tour up to and over the mega classic Imogene Pass with a ski descent into Richmond Basin and the final approach to the Hayden Lodge. Days 4 & 5 are spent touring around Richmond, Imogene, and Silver Basins before eventually skiing down to our shuttle vehicle on Camp Bird Road!
